New Freebuild Announcement
« on: March 01, 2017, 02:25:18 AM »
It's time for a new Freebuild to dawn

Art by tsitra360

The highly anticipated schedule for our new freebuild map

-Currently-
We are setting up the generation for the map, moving a copy of the spawn area, and any other little tweaks we think we want

-March 26th-
Everyone will be allowed to enter and build in the new freebuild map, as well as plan out claimed area for build transfers. At this time there will be an announcement where you can post for what builds you want to transfer.

-April 8th-
We will start transferring builds at this time. There will be more details in the March 26th post.
Some general ideas now before we give the solid rules.
1: You will be able to transfer a few builds (probably 3)
2: Big builds may count as more than 1 (probably bigger than 32x32)
3: Builds must be transferred a certain distance from the spawn area (probably 1000 blocks)
4: Earlier Posts in the thread will take priority
5: We will not transfer significant portions of normal terrain generation

Any chance I can have someone to help with marking my builds out since I have a village that extends under ground to I'm not sure how I should mark it out. I remember last time we marked it out with Ice blocks but my village was a lot smaller back then lol & it makes it a little harder this time  :twilightblush:lol.

What if a single building is larger by itself than the three 'builds' allowed? I'm in the process of building a real world palace to scale.

Both builds I need moved are bigger than specified. And I need them to be moved.

Also if we have animals, can we get them transferred somehow? I have a lot of horses needing transferred.

If they make one exception then 20 other people will be asking for several-hundred block builds to be moved.

Issue is I want to take it with me, since it has costed a ton of materials (in the thousands) and I can't nor would want to deconstruct that with my schedule, by March and then rebuild it.I had built it thinking the first New freebuild was the final one for years

Mobs are saved when a region is copied and pasted with WE, so it should be pretty easy to move mobs. However I've heard that staff aren't too keen on moving over tons of mobs especially if they're just the regular passive mobs.

My build in the freebuild is a secretive one, and utilizes the terrain to remain undiscovered. I don't mind finding another area to rebuild it, but my chests have a couple of events worth of stuff in them. Would it be best to move these items to my alternate home in the spawn ring, and then transfer them from there to my new build once I find a place for it? I don't know if I'll be able to find a good spot right away, but would rather keep the items I've got.

So both worlds, old freebuild and new freebuild will be open simultaneously for about a few weeks, so you don't need to find a new place right away.

Quick question:

What about underground builds? My home is a cave that's inside a mountain, and it's pretty big. Can that be moved?

Thanks!  :twilightsheepish:

Yes, We can move underground builds. Just keep in mind that if you want a whole mountain moved it may count as 2 of your 3 moves. It's also almost impossible to do a 'clean' move, trying to stick on chunk of land on top or inside another chunk of land rarely look natural. You'll also have to do all if not most of the terraforming will do are best but like I said it may not look quite right.
